Nazareth College offers an extensive Physical Education and Sporting program for all students, and also provides the opportunity for students to compete in a range of competitive sports both within the College community and through inter-school competitions.

Physical Education is a core curriculum subject from Year 7 through to Year 9, and a core subject for one semester in Year 10. The Health and Physical Education Faculty offers VCE students the studies of VCE Physical Education, and VCE Health and Human Development.

Students may study a Specialised Sport: Soccer or Basketball in Year 9 and Year 10, where specialised fitness and skill training feature in the curriculum, and qualified coaches are employed to assist in game strategy and team exercises. Year 10 students undertake the necessary requirements to achieve the Level O Referee qualification. Extra-curricular activities offered to students through the Health and Physical Education faculty include fitness classes, yoga, hip-hop dance, martial arts and self defence, and First Aid courses.
