Technology

The Technology faculty provides students the opportunity to explore various ways of communicating information. Students develop the ability to follow the creative process of planning and realising an idea, and subsequently designing and producing their idea in an innovative and efficient process. Students learn to reflect upon their processes and evaluate the final product compared to the initial idea, thus developing skills in the creative and design processes.

Year 7 students participate in Textiles Technology and Information Technology as core subjects, and Year 8 students partake in Food Technology and Wood Technology as core subjects.

The Technology faculty offers all of these subjects as elective subjects from Year 9 through to Year 12.
