Work Experience

It is important for our students to gain an understanding of the differences between the school environment and the workforce, and the Work Experience program gives students the opportunity to attend a suitable workplace for a one-week period.

The program is conducted during Term 3 for Year 10 students, and the lead-up to each student?s placement allows students to develop their skills in the job application process, and encourages each student to examine their individual career aspirations and interests.

The 'safe@work' program is conducted at the College prior to students attending their chosen workplace, and this ensures that each student can confidently and safely represent the College during their placement.

Teachers maintain contact with each student during their placement, and are monitored and supported by the College during this time to ensure that the experience is successful and valuable for both the student and the employer.
