Outdoor Education offers students the chance to experience the challenges and benefits of a rural environment, to enjoy team-building activities and challenge their own individual skills and qualities.

Year 7 students experience a three-night camp in a cabin-style environment in Term 2. The camp provides students the opportunity to participate in activities aimed at building friendships and developing problem-solving skills. Activities include bush survival information and camp fire-making skills, a 250 metre flying fox, abseiling, and cycling. Student feedback on their camp experience is highly positive, with many students enjoying new-found confidence and self esteem.

Year 8 students participate in a one-day Outdoor Education program, which builds upon the skills developed in the Year 7 camp, and introduces new tasks and activities in a bush environment that the students will draw upon in their Year 9 camp the following year.

During the beginning of Year 9, each homeroom group departs from the College to embark upon a camping trip, which includes a high-ropes course, and activities specifically aimed at encouraging initiative and trust between students. One night is spent camping in a bush environment, and for many students is a new experience. A focus on building and maintaining friendships and positive associations between the students is an important goal of the camp. The camp has gained a reputation among students as a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
