The Nazareth College community endeavours to place Jesus Christ at the centre of its existence and all aspects of College life. We aim to provide an environment where students can come to know and experience the person and love of Jesus Christ, and develop into witnesses of this love in the world. Our dedication to Jesus and the Catholic faith prepares students to become responsible and contributing members of society, and encourages students to follow the example set by Jesus to love and serve others. A deep respect and love for all human beings is central to Christianity, and we strive to instil the teachings and examples set by Jesus through all aspects of the Nazareth community.

Students are encouraged to come to the understanding that Jesus is encountered significantly during specific religious occasions such as prayer and the sacraments. Furthermore, in the everyday interactions with others as respectful and caring members of society, we see the face of Jesus Christ.

There are many faith-development activities included in the learning environment at the College, allowing students and staff to regularly acknowledge and celebrate our faith in Jesus Christ. Morning and afternoon prayer in the homeroom environment provides an opportunity to include the Lord in everyday life, and a student lunch-time prayer group offers students the time to engage in prayer on a more personal level on a regular basis. Reflection Days and Retreat Days are valuable occasions to reflect upon and rejoice in the love of Jesus Christ, and the College Liturgical Choir allows students to express their love and commitment to the Christian faith through musical creativity. Masses are celebrated in homeroom groups and as a whole school, bringing together the teaching and learning communities for the common goal of rejoicing in the love of Jesus Christ.
