Middle Years Project

The College?s commitment to providing an effective and consistent learning environment is demonstrated in the Nazareth Cluster Middle Years Project, which is a collaborative effort between a number of Catholic schools to develop and implement strategies and programs to optimise student progress. Nazareth College is joined in this venture by St Justins (Wheelers Hill), St Elizabeths (Noble Park North), St Gerards (Dandenong North), and St Simons (Rowville).
These schools are part of the local Catholic parishes for which Nazareth College provides secondary education, and together the Cluster continues to implement programs and activities that benefit students in the Middle Years phase of education, which is identified as Year 5 through to the completion of Year 9.

The Nazareth Cluster meets regularly to discuss the progress and success of the Project, with a designated Middle Years Coordinator from each participating school attending the meetings to give their school?s perspective on the Project. The Project focuses on a number of key issues, including student welfare, improvement in student learning, and the development of an effective model of Middle Years education.

The Cluster aims to cater to the specific needs of Middle Years students, and ensure consistency in the programs provided across the differing settings of the Middle Years period.
