Nazareth College has a strong focus on Personalised Learning, a key feature of learning in the 21st Century.

Our BYOD and desktop learning technologies are intergrated with 1:1 Learning Technologies at Years 7 – 10 iPads as a key learning tool. A recent external review of IT infrastructure provided a clear plan for preparing for our revitalised wireless “always connected” environment, and staff professional learning is heavily focussed on the best ways to utilise the 1:1 Learning Technologies environment.

For students of higher ability, the Laurel Program provides targeted acceleration in Maths and Science as well as differentiated extension and depthing in English and Humanities to ensure these students achieve their true potential and beyond!

In addition, parallel education in some subjects for Years 7 – 9 allow for greater personalisation of learning styles and teaching pedagogy to cater for boys’ and girls’ learning in a Catholic co-educational setting, while maintaining co-educational classes in other subjects: the best of both worlds.

Vertical Pastoral groups allow for great cross-age mentoring as well as providing greater consistency and support for students, connecting with the same Pastoral leader and student cohort throughout their secondary schooling.
